Interactive Session on Evolution of Indian Military Thought and Some National Security Perspectives
- Lt. Gen Harinder Singh  
PVSMAVSM, YSM, SM, VSM

Lt. Gen. Harinder Singh (Retd.) shared his four decades of experience in the Indian military during a captivating talk and interactive session on September 6, 2023. His insights into the evolution of Indian military thought and national security perspectives provided students with a valuable understanding of the country's defence strategy. Lt. Gen Singh is a former Director General of Military Intelligence (DGMI). He commanded the Fire & Fury Corps(XVI Corps)  during the Eastern Ladakh Crisis in 2020 and led the corps commander-level talks.

Guest Lecture on Indo-American Cooperation
in the Indian Ocean Region 

- Rear Admiral Michael L. Baker

On October 4, 2023, Rear Admiral Michael L. Baker delivered a guest lecture which explored the crucial Indo-American cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region. Students engaged in a lively discussion with the admiral, gaining valuable insights into the maritime partnership between the two nations. Rear Admiral Baker led Military Attaché Operations and directed international strategy and plans in the Africa Command, European Command, Indo-Pacific Command, and Central Command

CNSA-Stimson Roundtable on South Asia 

The CNSA hosted a delegation from the Stimson Center, a prominent foreign affairs think tank, on February 1, 2024. Researchers Sophia Kierstead and Mahika Khosla presented their findings on the US-China rivalry in South Asia, followed by an engaging interaction with JGU students.

Roundtable discussion on Political turmoil in Bangladesh and implications for India and the world 

CNSA organised a roundtable discussion on the political turmoil in Bangladesh and its implications for India and the world on August 28, 2024. We were honoured to have a distinguished panel of experts and practitioners whose deep expertise and thoughtful perspectives made for an enlightening session. Dr. Sreeram Chaulia kicked off the discussions with an insightful opening remark. The panel comprised Ambassador Dr. Mohan Kumar, Ambassador Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Professor Sreeradha Datta and Professor Hindol Sengupta.

Research Exhibition at the Samvaad Conclave

CNSA showcased its research posters at the Samvaad Conclave organized by the JSIA Student Council in collaboration with Diplomania Society on February 12-13, 2024. Center Coordinator Aarogya Mohan Kaphle and Initiative Coordinator Chelikani Dharma Teja presented the exhibited posters and discussed their findings with distinguished practitioners and scholars in the field of International Relations.
